Every detail has been meticulously thought out to create innovative and spacious architecture with a homely atmosphere. The design, which is bathed in natural light, enables owners to choose their desired accommodation layouts – choose from three, four, five or even six cabins! The lagoon has provided an innovative saloon concept across two levels with two separate areas: a large galley that opens onto the cockpit on one side and a slightly elevated lounge area for enhanced panoramic vision, which can easily be turned into a dining area if needed.

The Dufour 48 has a contemporary design with voluminous hulls. The reversed and narrow bows cleave the water efficiently. The aft placed mast allows larger headsails, and the boom is more angled than in Dufour’s monohulls. The self-tacking jib (48 m2) combined with the mainsail (76 m2) creates a total sail area of 124 m2. She comes also with a huge flybridge with stairs access from both starboard and port sides.

This new member of the Lagoon family has style and a strong personality. While keeping a family resemblance and retaining the main features of the latest generation of Lagoons, it shows us a new path: unhurried evolution, a new “organic” approach, in search of harmony between living space and man. Vertical glazing in the coachwood illuminates the saloon area, with stunning curved wood finishes. Enjoy the elegance and functionality with island double beds for the aft cabins and beds with side access for the forward cabins. Aft cabins enjoy a bathroom with a separate shower. The all-new Lagoon 42 is a great example of the new breed of a modern-day catamaran. This design builds on the success of the world’s biggest production cat brand, which in turn is part of the giant Beneteau group. It’s an ultra-modern cat with the clean, efficient lines of modern European design — vertical bows, high freeboard, and big-picture hull windows.
